Sounding a little like a sales pitch? You don't have to look very far to get evidence - here are a few examples:
There is a growing trend in Canada. People are working with mortgage brokers more than ever as they seek to get quality advice, consistent service and best value for their time and money.
Our job is to let our decades of experience work for you - to provide advice - to save you time and frustration - to identify the mortgage product that makes the most sense for your unique situation - to negotiate on your behalf - and to remain an advisor for the life of your mortgage!
In his book "Think Like a Billionaire", Donald Trump advises "A good way to get a mortgage is to pass the buck to somebody else. Shopping around and comparing mortgages can be time-consuming ... Get a mortgage broker, but get a good one". Obviously, we couldn't agree more!
"We would rate our mortgage experience at a 10!!!!! Personally, we felt very comfortable with you from the very beginning. Your level of expertise and professionalism was of the highest quality." Visit 'Our Clients Speak Out' for the full testimonial!
Bottom line - you have three choices - a local branch, a qualified mortgage professional tested by your neighbours or a listing in the yellow pages.
Banks deliver services through their branches and do a great job. Sometimes, however, it is hard to find a qualified branch-based lender - and if they are experienced, they are usually promoted out of that role. While there, they are measured on the profitability of their activity - which can place them in a difficult situation.
What are a growing number of their customers doing? Obviously, seeking to establish an ongoing relationship with a professional mortgage broker.
A house purchase is usually the biggest purchase people will make in their lifetime - and getting trapped in a mortgage that doesn't fit - or paying too much interest - often means they can't use those funds for other things. Where do you want to use your money?
For many people, they like supporting their local branch - but they use a broker to negotiate with head office for the best terms - knowing their mortgage will end up on the branch books - assuming their bank has the best product for their needs.
